The Anxious Leaf
The little leaf feared falling to the ground but found comfort in the life cycle.
Once upon a time, a little leaf was heard sighing and crying, as leaves often do when a gentle breeze blows.
And the branch said: “What is the matter, little leaf?”
And the leaf said: “The wind just told me that one day it will carry me away and throw me to the ground!”
The branch speaks to the unit where it grows, and the chapter speaks to the tree. The tree heard the sound and immediately rustled everywhere and sent words back to the leaves: “Don’t be afraid; hold on tight, and you won’t go until you want to.”
So the leaves stopped sighing and continued to snuggle together and sing. Every time the tree shakes and lifts all the leaves, the branches also shake, the small branches also shake, and the little leaf dances happily as if nothing can pull it out.
And so it grows all summer until October.
And when the bright autumn days came, the little leaf saw how beautiful all the surrounding leaves became. Some are yellow, some are bright red, and some are striped in both colors.
Then he asked the tree what it meant. And the tree said,
“All these leaves are getting ready to fly away, and they put on these beautiful colors for joy.”
Then the little leaf began to want to go, and thinking about it, it grew very beautifully, and when it had very cheerful colors, it saw that the branches had no paint on them, so the leaf said:
“Twig, why are you lead-colored, and we are yellow?”
“We have to wear work clothes because our lives are not done, But your clothes are for vacation because your mission is over.”
Just then, a light wind blew, and the leaf accidentally let go; the wind swept it up, flipped it over and over, spun like a spark in the air, and then gently fell. Down under the fence among hundreds of other leaves, and began to dream – a dream so beautiful that perhaps it would last forever.
