Princess Rose and the Golden Bird

Princess Rose and the Golden Bird

Many years ago, in a distant kingdom, there lived a beautiful princess. She has long red hair and loves roses so much that everyone calls her the Rose Princess.
Every evening, after sunset, Princess Rose goes to the balcony and claps her hands. A yellow bird flew from nowhere and landed on her shoulder. Immediately, the princess’s hair shone, emitting a brilliant red light. When the bird began to sing an enchanting melody, Princess Rose joined in its singing, and everyone in the kingdom fell asleep and had sweet dreams until dawn.

Years they were passed like that. Every evening, Princess Rose and the little yellow bird sing a loving lullaby, letting everyone fall asleep and have sweet dreams until dawn.

Until one day, something terrible happened. An evil witch learns about Princess Rose and decides to curse her.

“Abracadabra, Sim-Sala-Bim, may the rose colour fade!” said the witch, and Princess Rose’s hair instantly turned black as tar.

That evening, Princess Rose also went to the balcony and clapped her hands. But when the golden bird appeared, her hair turned black instead of red. The bird sings an enchanting melody, and Princess Rose sings her lullaby. Everyone in the kingdom fell asleep, but that night, they only had nightmares and nightmares.

The next day, the princess sadly asked the bird:

“Tell me, golden bird, how can I make everyone’s dreams so sweet again until dawn?”

“Black feathers in rose water,” the bird chirped back.

The princess was surprised by this advice but complied. She filled the pot with water and sprinkled rose petals on the pot’s surface. Then she dipped her hair in rose water, and immediately, her hair turned red again.

That evening, when the bird landed on her shoulder, the red light in her hair again lit up the night sky. The princess sang her lullaby, and everyone in the kingdom fell asleep and had sweet dreams until dawn.

The evil witch was so angry that her curse had been broken that she cast it again.

“Abracadabra, Sim-Sala-Bim, may the rose color fade!” And the princess’s hair was as black as asphalt. Only this time, the witch also picked all the roses in the entire kingdom. “Now let’s see how you will break my curse!” she sneered, angry.

Once again, the princess sadly asked the bird:

“Tell me, golden bird, how can I make everyone’s dreams so sweet again until dawn?”

“Black feathers in rose water,” the bird chirped back.

“But where should I find roses?”

“Black feathers in rose water,” the bird chirped and flew away.

The princess didn’t know what to do. Her anguish was so great that her eyes filled with tears, one of them falling to the ground below.

At that moment, a handsome young prince stopped under the princess’s balcony, removing a small box and a strand of red hair from it. He bent down and placed the hair over the princess’s laceration. And then, a miracle happened.

Suddenly, the red hair turned into a red rose.

The prince picked the rose and brought it to the princess.

When she saw the rose, she immediately wiped her tears, plucked the petals and put them in the water in the basin. Then she dipped her hair in, and the curse was broken.

Everyone gasped in surprise. The king asked the prince:

“Young man, where did you find that red hair?”

“When the princess and I were both young, I picked a hair from her head to sign my loyalty to her. And she did the same to me, pulling a strand of my hair.”

“It’s true, father,” the princess confirmed and took out a small box. She opened it to reveal a strand of hair from the prince’s head inside.

Everyone was delighted with this news. Prince and Princess Rose got married that same day.

When she learned her curse had been broken again, the evil witch’s evil nature swelled even more to the point of exploding into a thousand tiny pieces.

Finally, roses bloomed again in every garden in the kingdom. And so it happened: every night, Princess Rose sang her loving lullaby, letting everyone fall asleep and have sweet dreams until dawn.
