Stories Cinderella
Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Cinderella who lived with her stepmother and two stepsisters. Poor Cinderella had to work hard all day so everyone else could rest. It was she who had to wake up every morning when it was still dark and cold to light the fire. It was she who cooked the meal. It is she who keeps the fire burning. The poor girl could not keep herself clean from the dust and ash of the fire.
“What a mess!” Her two stepsisters laughed loudly. And that’s why they call her “Cinderella.”
One day, big news came to town. The king and queen are about to have a ball! It’s time for the Prince to find a bride. All the young ladies in the land were invited. They were overjoyed! They will wear their best dress and fix their hair beautifully. Maybe the prince will like them!

At Cinderella’s house, she now has more work to do. She had to make two brand-new dresses for her two stepsisters.
“Faster!” a stepsister shouted.
“You call that a dress?” the other shouted.
“Oh, baby!” Cinderella said. “When can I-”
Stepmother entered the room. “When can you DO WHAT?”
“Well,” said the girl, “when will I have time to make my own dress for the ball?”
“Friend?” the stepmother shouted. “Who said YOU were going to the prom?”
“What a laugh!” said a stepsister.
“What a mess!” They pointed at Cinderella. They all laughed.
Cinderella said to herself, “When they look at me, they probably see a mess. But I’m not like that. And if I could, I WOULD go to the ball.”
Soon, it was time for the stepmother and stepsisters to leave for the big party.
Their luxurious carriage has arrived at the door. Stepmother and stepsisters jumped inside. And they went.
“Goodbye!” called Cinderella. “Have a nice time!” But her stepmother and stepsisters did not turn to look at her.

“Ah, me!” Cinderella said sadly. The horse-drawn carriage runs along the street. She said loudly, “I wish I could go to the ball too!”
Then – poof!

Suddenly, in front of her was a fairy.
“You called?” said the fairy.
“Did I do that?” Cinderella said. “Who are you?”
“Why, of course, it’s your Fairy Godmother! I know your wishes. And I come to accept that.”
“But…” Cinderella said, “My wish is impossible.”
“Sorry!” The Fairy Godmother said angrily. “Didn’t I suddenly appear?”
“That’s right,” Cinderella said.
“Then let me be the one to say what is possible or not!”
“Well, I think you know I want to go to prom too.” She looked down at her dirty clothes.
“But look at me.”
“You look a bit messy, my child,” said Fairy Godmother.
“Even if I had something nice to wear, I would have no way of getting there,” the girl said.
“My God, all these things are possible,” said the fairy. Having finished speaking, she tapped her wand on Cinderella’s head.
Immediately, Cinderella was clean. She wore a beautiful blue dress. Her hair was tied in a high bun on her head, inside a golden band.
“This is great!” Cinderella said.

“Who said I was done?” said the fairy godmother. She tapped her wand again. Immediately a beautiful carriage appeared, with a driver and four white horses.
“Am I dreaming?” Cinderella said and looked around.
“It is as real as it can be,” said the fairy godmother. “But there is one thing you must know.”
“What is that?”
“All this only lasted until midnight. Tonight, at midnight, it will all end. Everything will return to the way it was.”
“Then I must make sure to leave the ball before midnight!” Cinderella said.
“Good idea,” said the Fairy Godmother. She stepped back. “My work is done.” And with that, the Fairy Godmother disappeared.
Cinderella looked around her. “Did that even happen?” But she stood there in a beautiful dress and with a golden strip in her hair. And in front of her was the coachman and four horses waiting.
“Are coming?” called the driver.
She entered the carriage. And they went.
At the ball, the Prince didn’t know what to think. “Why does your face look so sad?” The Queen said to her son. “Look around you! You couldn’t ask for more beautiful maidens than these.”
“I know, mother,” said the Prince. However, he knew something was wrong. He met many young women. However, after saying “hello” to everyone one by one, he had nothing more to say.
“Look!” Someone pointed to the front door. “Who is that?”
Every head turned. Who is the lovely girl walking down the stairs? She held her head high and looked like she belonged. But no one knows her.
“There’s something about her,” the Prince said to himself. “I’ll ask her to dance.” And he walked up to Cinderella.
“Have we met yet?” The prince said.
“I am pleased to see you now,” Cinderella said, bowing her head.
“I feel as if I know you,” said the Prince. “But of course, that’s impossible.”
“Many things can happen,” said Cinderella, “if you wish them to be true.”
The prince felt his heart jump. He and Cinderella danced. When the song ended, they danced again. And then they danced again, and again. Before long, the other young women at the ball became jealous. “Why does he dance with her all day?” they said. “How rude!”
But all the Prince could see was Cinderella. They laugh, chat, and dance more. In fact, they danced for so long that Cinderella didn’t see the clock.
“Copper!” said the clock.
Cinderella looked up.
“Copper!” Look at the clock again.
She looked up again. “Oh my God!” she exclaimed. “It’s almost midnight!”
“Copper!” vibrates the watch.
“Why does that matter?” The prince said.
“Copper!” called the clock.
“I have to go!” Cinderella said.
“Copper!” went the clock.
“But we just met!” The prince said. “Why leave now?”
“Copper!” vibrates the watch.
“I have to go!” Cinderella said. She ran to the steps.
“Copper!” said the clock.
“I can’t hear you,” the Prince said. “The clock is so loud!”
“Copper!” vibrates the watch.
“Goodbye!” Cinderella said. Up, up the stairs she ran.
“Copper!” went the clock.
“Please stop for a moment!” The prince said.
“Oh, baby!” she said as a glass slipper fell off her foot on the stairs. But Cinderella continued to run up.
“Copper!” said the clock.
“Please wait a moment!” The prince said.
“Copper!” vibrates the watch.
“Goodbye!” Cinderella returns one last time. Then she rushed out the door.
“Copper!” The clock is silent. It was midnight.
“Wait!” called Prince. He picked up her glass slipper and rushed out the door.
He looked around but couldn’t see her blue dress anywhere. “This is all I have left of her,” he said, looking down at the glass slipper. He saw that it was made in a special way, to fit a foot like no other. “There’s that glass slipper somewhere,” he said. “And when I find it, I will find her too. Then I will ask her to be my bride!”
The prince went from hut to hut, from house to house. One young woman after another tried to squeeze her feet into the glass slippers. But no one can match. And so the Prince continued.
The Prince finally arrived at Cinderella’s house.
“He is coming!” a stepsister called as she looked out the window.
“At the door!” the other stepsister shouted.
“Fast!” the stepmother shouted. “Prepare! One of you has to be the one to put your foot in that slipper. No problem!”
The prince knocked on the door. Stepmother ran to open the door. “Come in!” she speaks. “I have two lovely daughters I want to show you.”
The stepsister first tries to put her foot in the glass slipper.
She tried so hard but it didn’t fit. Then the second stepsister tried to put her foot inside. She also tried and tried with all her strength. But there are no dice.
“Are there no other young ladies in the house?” The prince said.
“No,” said the stepmother.
“Then I must go,” said the Prince.
“Perhaps there is one more,” Cinderella said as she entered the room.
“I thought you said there were no other young women here,” said the Prince.
“No one matters!” hissed the stepmother.
“Come here,” said the Prince.
Cinderella walked up to him. The prince knelt down on one knee and tried the glass slipper on her foot.
It fits perfectly! Then, from her pocket, Cinderella took out something. That’s the other glass slipper!
“I know!” he cried. “You are the only one!”
“What?” a stepsister shouted.
“Not her!” the other stepsister shouted.
“This is impossible!” the stepmother shouted.
But it’s too late. The prince knew that Cinderella was the one. He looked into her eyes. He didn’t see ash in her hair or ash on her face.
“I’ve found you!” he says.
“And I found you,” Cinderella said.
So Cinderella and the Prince got married and they lived happily ever after.
The End
